Overview
Hyaluronic acid is naturally-occurring component found in every tissue of the body with the highest concentration being found in the connective tissues. Filling the space between cells of the skin and cartilage, hyaluronic acid is similar to chondroitin sulfate in that both come from the same family of molecules known as glycosaminoglycans. As part of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) function in the body, they attach to collagen and elastin to form cartilage. Hyaluronic acid also is a key component in synovial fluid which is the joint-lubricating fluid responsible for reducing friction between joints. By binding water molecules to cell hyaluronic acid is able to enhance lubrication and plays a major role in over-all joint health by cushioning and lubricating joints. Since hyaluronic acid is found in every tissue of the body, this ultimately promotes a naturally-rejuvenating effect as it contributes to the restoration of skin elasticity to support an improved overall skin appearance.
Our Hyaluronic Acid is formulated to deliver 40 mgs of hyaluronic acid and also contains Hydrolyzed Chicken Collagen Type II as well as chondroitin sulfate to promote overall joint health.
